Patient Coordinator, Administrator
Upon earning her medical billing license in 2000, Judy worked for Central Healthcare, a company that handled medical billing for nursing homes in NYC, Brooklyn and Long Island. Responsibilities included sending claims to insurance companies and private patient billing, and administrative duties.
In 2001, she relocated to Brooklyn to work at a medical doctor’s office where she was head of the medical billing and front desk reception.
Taking time off to raise her children in 2003, Judy worked from home selling merchandise on eBay. In 2015, she went back into the medical field when she found an ad for a receptionist in Aspire Center for Health and Wellness Brooklyn office. She was able to learn quickly and climbed the ladder to administrative work, where she was in charge of new patient intake, verifying insurance benefits, and obtaining authorizations. In the end of 2018, when the Aspire Physical Therapy business closed, Judy continued to work with Dr. Marissa Barrera and New York Neurogenic, SLP as the patient coordinator and administrator.
